Shari Hogan is the exclusive owner of Soulshine Alternative Healing, Inc.
She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience working with families in our community. After witnessing firsthand the inspiring remission of a close friend with cancer, she became trained as a Reiki Master Teacher by local physician Dr. Brian Dailey. She
then realized the necessity of integrating Eastern and Western medical approaches to provide holistic care.

Her entrepreneurial vision of creating a holistic healing center that would lead our community in bridging these two philosophies began in July of 2005, when Soulshine opened its doors to healing and the community.

A survivor of sexual assault, and a having been a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (S.A.N.E) she is now a resource for Rape Crisis Services so that survivors can be offered a new modality for healing from their trauma.

After a close childhood friend was murdered by her intimate partner in 2004, Shari became one of the founding members of the Monroe County Silent Witness Exhibit, raising awareness on the issue of domestic violence. She is now working towards the creation of a prevention video for our community.

As a leader in the nursing profession, she sought out a Co-Providership agreement with the Department of Nursing Accreditation at Strong Memorial Hospital, so nurses can become trained in Reiki and receive continuing education contact hours.

Shari was recently awarded the "2007 Dr. Jeremy Klainer Entrepreneurial Award", from the University of Rochester, School of Nursing, Center for Nursing Entrepreneurship for her submission of an outstanding business plan. Entering into the 21st Century business realm, Soulshine is now a virtual corporation. Soulshine is ready to expand its unique style of relaxation, wellness, and healing into medical practices,
executive suites, corporations and exclusive spas. All classes, workshops & retreats are available for your local group or organization.
